With a background education in Law and business management, Sorin has acted for more than 21 years
in corporate environment, with a significant business experience in industries like: Technology,
Healthcare, Financial Services, holding different top management positions at Xerox, Cisco, Microsoft or
Total Soft.
His regional experience consists in achieving project-based engagements in UK, France, Russia, Czech
Republic, Turkey and Middle East.
He is acting as General Manager of IQVIA Romania, The Human Data Science Company, a world leader in
using data, technology, advanced analytics and expertise to help customers drive healthcare - and
human health - forward. IQVIA is present for more than 25 years on the Romanian market, it counts, at
present, more than 200 employees and it is engaged in projects for pharmaceutical companies, medical
services providers and government authorities.
For the past years, Sorin Petcu has been involved in several projects regarding the improvement of the
healthcare system in Romania, among which we can specify: Patient Support Programs, COVID
Epidemiologic Forecast and Monitoring, e-Health, 30 years of Healthcare for Romania, EU Operational
Program for Healthcare, Antibiotics Incidents and Consumption.
