Dr. Laszlo Attila
President of the Health Commission of the Senate, Romanian Parliament
Born in Cluj Napoca , on 20 september 1964, of Hungarian nationality, he graduated in 1990 Cluj-Napoca University of Medicine and Pharmacy , with specialty paediatrician.
In 2009 he obtained his diploma in human resources management at the University of Pecs, Hungary.
He trained four years, immediately after the graduation of UMF Cluj, between 1991 and 1994, a hospital in Szeged, Hungary. Then for four years he was the director of Novo Farm Ltd Cluj-Napoca.
In 2004 he became local counselor of Cluj-Napoca City Hall .
Between 2005 and 2011 he was the president of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Cluj
From 2008 to 2012 he was Deputy Mayor of Cluj-Napoca City Hall.
In 2012 was elected senator in electoral district no.13 Cluj, and from 2012 to 2016 he was a member of the Senate’s Public Health Commission.
He was re-elected to the Senate in 2016 and from 2016 to present is chairman of the Public Health Committee of the Romanian Senate , and also Vice-President of the Population and Development Subcommission and Member of the Defence, Public Order and National Security Commission of the Romanian Senate.
Attila LÁSZLÓ is married with two children , he speaks Hungarian, German and English .
