Primary doctor of medical oncology, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest in 1982. He completed his postgraduate studies at the National School of Public Health and Health Management (2006 ) and at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (2000-2004).

Dr. Stanculeanu is currently Head of the Department of Medical Oncology and the president of the Oncology Commission within CNAS. She is a member of numerous scientific societies both in the country and abroad (ESMO-ESTRO-ASTRO), as well as in various medical commissions in Romania and a member of the editorial board of three oncology journals in Romania.
